EMBODIED PERFORMANCE ASSIGNMENT

Assignment description, expectations, and rubric for the Embodied Performance Assignment, which asks students to creatively use their bodies as a rhetorical text to bring a course concept/idea/theme to life for their classmates to promote deeper engagement and understanding.

CRITICAL ESSAY

Assignment description, expectations, and rubric for the Critical Essay assignment, which serves as the culmination of students' work in this class and asks them to investigate a topic related to rhetoric and the body via either rhetorical criticism or critical autoethnography.

READING OUTLINE ASSIGNMENT

Assignment description and structure for the Reading Outline assignment, which serves as a guide/outline for student engagement with course readings.

ANALYSIS OUTLINE WORKSHOP

Slides (and notes) used for a workshop on outlining the analysis for the Critical Essay.

SAMPLE LESSON PLAN

Lesson plan, including lecture & discussion questions for the topic "Queer Bodies: Pt. I," which includes a primer on queer theory in general and a discussion around the relationship between queerness/queer politics and embodied rhetoric(s).
